REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia and Iran agree to find constructive solution in Middle East issues, particularly in Syria. Both ministers also agreed that military solusion was bo the answer.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa and Iran Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarief discussed Syria and the latest situation in the Middle East in the sideline afterin the UN headquarters in New York, last week. Natalegawa highlighted the importance of Iran as the country currently chaired the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) in 2012-2015.
"The world should not remain silent on what happening in Syria. We must be part of solution," Natalegawa said last weekend.
Indonesia invites Iran to realize vision of NAM, to create global peace and security. Natalegawa reaffirmed that military action was not the best solution to overcome Syrian crisis, an approach which welcomed by Iran.
