REPUBLIKA.CO.ID , JAKARTA -- A researcher of Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Ardian Sopa predicted, two presidential candidacy tickets almost fixed in the hands of Golkar Party and Indonesian Democratic Party- Struggle (PDI-P). The last presidential ticket toward Indonesia's 2014 election will be contested by middle-level parties.

Sopa said, only five mid-level parties that have a chance to fight for another ticket, among others Democrat Party, Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), National Mandate Party (PAN), People Conscience Party (Hanura), and National Democrats Party (Nasdem).

When compared with five other political parties like Unity and Development Party (PPP), National Revival Party (PKB), Justice and Welfare Party (PKS), Crescent Star Party (PBB), and Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI), all the above five mid-level parties have advantages on the strength of the fund for the election, the party leadership persona, as well as strong access to media. All mid level parties have internal figures that have gained wide popularity among voters.

Ardian stated, the Democrat Party leader figure is the current Indonesia's President Lt General (Ret) Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Gerindra has Lt General (Ret) Prabowo Subianto  the former special forces commander, PAN has the current  Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Hanura has General (Ret) Wiranto, Nasdem Party has a media mogul Surya Paloh.

All the figures have prestige in persona and more robust in compare to other parties figures such as the PPP's Chairman the current Minister of Religious Affairs Surya Dharma Ali, PKB's Chairman the current Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Muhaimin Iskandar, PKS's President Anis Matta the former deputy speaker of Indonesian People Representative Council, PBB's Chairman the former Minister of Justice Yusril Ihza Mahendra, and PKPI's figure the former governor of Jakarta's Maj. General (Ret.) Sutiyoso.

Additionally Hanura's figure Hary Tanoes, one of the richest media moguls in Indonesia and the vice presidential hopeful as well as Surya Paloh of Nasdem, the two have the most popular integrated media in Indonesia.

"Democrats, Gerindra, PAN with their own funds are capable to hold massive information dissemination in mass media. While Hanura and Nasdem are easier to disseminate the party because they have their own media," he said.

The five parties, he added, trying to grab the vote of undecided voters from 19.4 percent of total national voters.

Their achievement defends on their ability to maximize their financial power, persona, and access to their own media.

PPP, PKB, PKS, PBB, PKPI, he said, are unlikely to grab the last presidential ticket. Because, instead of having a lack of financial funding, they even have less access power to the media.
