REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian starlet Andik Vermansah officially joined Malaysian club Selangor FA. The last season Malaysian Super League runner-up announced via its official website on Saturday (30/11).
Andik, 22, has signed a two-year contract and is scheduled to join The Red Giants after SEA Games in Myanmar next month. The former Persebaya 1927 midfielder became the third Indonesian player who played for the club after Bambang Pamungkas and Elie Aiboy.
The Indonesia U-23 player became the third foreign player who joined Selangor in the transfer window after Junior Aparecido Guimaro de Souza and Paulo Rangel, both from Brazil. The agreement at the same time denied news that said Andik will join J-League club, Ventforet Kofu.
The signing of the contract took place in Jakarta this afternoon was witnessed by Secretary of Selangor FA Rosman Mohd Ibrahim and Andik representative Muly Munial.
"Despite getting offers from clubs from Europe and Japan, Andik finally chose to join the Selangor which has shown its seriousness to use his services," said Munial.
