REPUBLIKA, JAKARTA -- The presidential candidate from the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), Prabowo Subianto has opined that more the candidates contesting at the 2014 presidential elections, the better it will be.
"The more, the better. Let the people choose," stated Prabowo, while visiting the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) office, here on Tuesday.
On the occasion, the chief patron of Gerindra noted that the party would abide by people's choice, irrespective of who is elected as the next president, so long as the presidential elections run fairly and honestly.
"We all agreed that democracy should be on the right track. But the important thing is that the process of democracy should not be deflected. There must be no fraudulent practices, no ghost voters and no fabrication," noted Prabowo.
Therefore he called on the General Election Commission to resolve the issue of the eligible voters list (DPT) that has millions of problematic voters.
