Boediono, Jokowi inspect new school curriculum implementation

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice President Boediono along with Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited several schools here on Thursday in effort to inspect the implementation of the school curriculum 2013.

Boediono and Jokowi at 8.00 a.m. local time, visited the junior high school SMP-8 in Pegangsaan area, Central Jakarta, then proceed to the Senior High School SMA-26 in Tebet, South Jakarta.

The two high ranking officials met with teacher representatives in SMA-26 before continuing their visits to primary schools in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta and Gondangdia, Central Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Education Minister M. Nuh during his recent visit in London stated that the 2013 school curriculum is expected to improve the teachers' way of thinking in effort to raise quality of education in the country.
