President Yudhoyono holds mass prayer for smooth general elections

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) held a mass prayer for smooth and safe general elections that are scheduled to take place this year in Indonesia.

"This morning, President SBY organized a mass prayer at Cikeas for safe and smooth general elections," the head of state tweeted on his Twitter account @SBYudhoyono, on Tuesday.

Earlier, the president wrote on his Twitter account: "Indeed it's true that there is no soft road to reach noble ideas and great objective."

On Tuesday noon, Yudhoyono and his entourage were scheduled to leave for East Java for a working visit.

Indonesia will hold legislative elections on April 9 and the presidential elections on July 9 this year.
