REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A political analyst of University of Lampung, Arizka Wargenegara estimated that Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) candidate, Joko Widodo (a.k.a Jokowi) likely paired with chairman of Islamic based political party in 2014 general election. Board of party has not yet determined the vice presidential candidate to accompany Jokowi until now.
"PDIP is a nationalist political party. It will reach the balance if they have a coalition with Islamic party," Wargenegara said on Sunday.
According to him, if PDIP joint with Islamic party, they will able to achieve more than 20 percent voters in legislative election on April 9. The party will also get large supports of Indonesian people.
