REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has taken over corruption case involving former Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari from the police.
"The dossier has been handed over to KPK and order for investigation would soon be issued," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said here on Tuesday.
Johan said KPK and the police have agreed that the case would be processed by KPK.
He said KPK does not need approval from the president for the takeover even if Fadilah was a former member of the presidential advisory board.
Police have investigated the case since March 28 in 2012.
Fadilah is charged with abusing of power by naming the procurer without tender of buffer stock health equipment causing a loss of around Rp6.1 billion in state fund.
