President installs two new judges of Constitutional Court

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated two new judges of Constitutional Court (MK) on Friday. The judges are Wahiduddin Adam and Aswanto, to fill positions after Akil Mochtar and Harjono were arrested by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). 

Chairman of MK, Hamdan Zoelfa said that now the court had all nine judges installed. "Next week, we have full of power with nine judges to handle the possibility of electoral disputes in 2014's general election," Zoelfa said on Friday.

MK consist of three panels with three judges in every panel. 

Adam and Aswanto were choosen as constitutional judges after passing fit and proper test held by Commission III at the House of Representative, also an expert team. Both of them were voted by 50 members of Commission II. Adam got 46 votes, while Aswanto got 23 votes.
