REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Former Chairman of Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum has shown the party's financial report during the 2009 presidential election containing what he claims as "fictitious campaign donors" to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Here is the report containing the results of the audit," he informed the journalists while showing the report's front cover shortly after arriving at the antigraft body's office here on Friday.

The report is entitled "Independent Accountant's Report on the Implementation of Agreed Procedures of Receiving and Using Funds for Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono-Boediono Pair in the 2009 Presidential Elections and National Campaign Team".

Anas further revealed that he received what he claimed as the party's financial report from someone about 10 months ago. After studying the report's content, he found a gaffe regarding the name list of campaign donors.

"KPK needs to investigate this," he asserted, adding that among the corporate and individual donors, whose names were included in the list, there were fictitious ones too.

Therefore, if the Democratic Party had another source for its campaign funds, the antigraft commission should probe into this matter.

"It is, however, not my duty to investigate it," pointed out Anas, who has been detained by the KPK over his alleged involvement in the Hambalang sports center construction project graft case since January 10.

Anas had previously urged the antigraft body to investigate whether part of the Bank Century's bailout fund totaling Rp7.4 trillion was distributed to finance the Democratic Party's 2010 congress in Bandung, West Java.

The KPK has been investigating the flow of funds into the Democratic Party's Bandung congress. A number of members of the party's executive board and congress' steering/organizing committee had been summoned.

However, the party's Secretary General Edhi Baskoro Yudhoyono is not among those who have been summoned in connection with the flow of funds into the Bandung congress.

In response to Anas' claim, Democratic Party Executive Chairman Syarifuddin Hasan had denied it saying that his party's financial report was audited very thoroughly and there were no involvement of fictitious donors.
