"The names of the six fugitives have been added to the wanted list," spokesman of the Indonesian Police Headquarters Snr. Comr. Agus Rianto stated here on Friday.
He noted that the Riau provincial police are handling 60 cases of land fires, of which 30 are still under investigation.
Eight of the 30 cases have been referred to the Riau public prosecutor's office, he added.
The police have named a total of 102 suspects in 60 cases of land fires in the province, he notified.
He reported that 91 of the 102 suspects are under police custody and five suspects are still on the loose.
"We still continue to investigate corporate suspects," he remarked.
Earlier, the Riau law enforcement task force claimed that the number of suspects rose to 102 from the previous figure of 100.
"The figure is based on the last recapitulation of 60 cases that are currently being handled by several district police stations and the special crime detective unit of the Riau provincial police," stated Riau Provincial Police Chief Brig. Gen. Condro Kirono.
According to data received from the Riau haze mitigation task force, most of the suspects are farmers.
