REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMANGGI -- A total of 15 witnesses have been examined related to child molestation cases at Jakarta International School (JIS). Head of Public Relation in Jakarta Police, Com Rikwanto explained that the 15 witnesses consisted of JIS security officers, teachers, families and outsourced workers.
"We still continue our study. From their explanations, there is no one leading to other suspect so far," Rikwanto said on Monday as reported by C30.
Jakarta Police continue to explore the next victim's possibility. Two suspects admitted that they also did the immoral acts against two other students.
However, they have forgotten their victims.
Earlier this month, a new child molestation case was revealed when TH, a mother's victim, reported her son's case to the police on March 24, 2014. Her son, AK (6 years), was molested at the school toilet. The police then caught five suspects who work as cleaning service workers, namely Azwar, Zaenal, Awan, Agund, and a woman named Afriska Septiani.
Jakarta Police confirmed all pictures of kindergarten students at JIS to the five suspects to remind them about the victims. Head of School, Timothy Carr was summoned by Jakarta Police Investigator for the second call. He was accompanied by a lawyer, Arry Ponto at Jakarta Police Headquarters on Tuesday. Ponto expressed empathy for the victim's family and promised to be cooperative in investigation process. According to him, JIS is a safe school and a favorite choice before the occurrence of this sexual case.
