REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Political analyst of Paramadina University, Hendri Satrio explained that the effort of Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) to ask Peoples Conscience Party (Hanura) into coalition would cause a friction in National Democratic (Nasdem) Party internally. PDIP previously has asked Chairman of Nasdem, Surya Paloh.
"There is no guarantee of harmonious coalition between Hanura and PDIP," Satrio said on Thursday.
There was a conflict between Paloh and Chairman of Winning Election (Bappilu) of Hanura Party, Harry Tanoesoedibjo who was also former Chairman of Advisory Council in Nasdem Party. Satrio said that Hanura would be better in coalition with Gerindra or Golkar Party.
Wiranto, Chairman of Hanura has strong ties with Prabowo Subianto, presidential candidate of Gerindra. Both of them have ever been Golkar cadres who are now led by Aburizal Bakrie.
Therefore, PDIP and Hanura coalition will likely bring an internal conflict in Nasdem. Nasdem can go out of coalition and it will not be strong anymore.
