REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Regent of Bogor, Rahmat Yasin, after he allegedly involved in graft case related to spatial planing in Bogor-Puncak-Cianjur areas. He was arrested on Wednesday night at his residence in Bogor, West Java.
"We caught some people red-handed in some locations," spokesman of KPK, Johan Budi said on Wednesday evening.
KPK caught Franciskus Xaverius Yohan (from private sector), M Zairin (Head Department of Agriculture and Forestry in Bogor Regency), and Rachmat Yasin. Yohan and Zairin then were taken to KPK branch office in Bogor. KPK confiscated billions of USD in the location.
The anti-graft body also investigated Yasin's aide, a driver and and a private company staff around 09.00 PM. Yasin is a cadre of United Development Party (PPP).
Budi said that KPK received the information from public. The anti-graft bisy then must decide if the case is corruption within 24 hours.
