REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Presidential candidate of Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Joko Widodo (known as Jokowi) always stated that he would not implement the political transaction for ministerial seats, although the way had been practiced for years by the rulling party. So, what kind of rules to be used by Jokowi to choose his ministers?
The man who still serves as Jakarta governor said that he would choose someone to become minister when the candidate had some criterias.
"There are some criteria, not based on how much someone can donate the money," Jokowi said recently as reported by Halimatus Sa'diyah.
According to Jokowi, when PDIP established communication with other parties, he always insisted that there were not special seats for coalition parties. They only talked about the governmental programs that would be implemented forward. PDIP have announced coalition with several parties, namely National Democratic (Nasdem) Party and National Awakening Party (PKB).
Chairman of PKB's Central Executive Board, Marwan Jafar said that his party supported Jokowi to become the next president without any reservation for ministerial position. Jokowi also thanked to PKB for its support. He believes that other party will follow PKB to support PDIP.
