REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- Police have named seven suspects in an arson attack on two sub-district offices in Donggala district, Central Sulawesi province, in mid-April 2014.
They were declared suspects after the police had questioned about 50 witnesses, head of the detective unit at the Donggala district police 1st Insp. Sunardi Alie said here on Friday.
The police had preliminary evidence to detain the suspects in the arson attack on the Sindue and Sindue Tobata sub-district offices on April 16, 2014, he said.
But he declined to disclose the motive behind the arson attack which burned thousands of ballot papers.
"Let's wait for the result of further investigation," he said.
No fatalities or injuries were reported in the incident.
