Wiranto: Hanura Party joins PDIP's coalition

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Chairman of People's Consciousness Party, Wiranto, declared his party's coalition with Indonesian Democratic Part of Struggle (PDIP), on Saturday. The coalition aims at winning the presidential election in July as well as building new government.

"We share similar platform as well as our spirit for struggle to achieve a better Indonesia," Wiranto said on Friday, referring to the coalition. 

Wiranto claimed that in the last five year, both parties eere hand in hand to act as balancing power outside the ruling government. Both parties, he added, also shared the same vision to build this country.

"There is no reason for Hanura to ruin our common effort in struggling for the people's interest," Wiranto said. 

As a chaiman of Hanura Party, Wiranto pocketed mandate from the party's cadres to lobby and build coalition with other party.
