REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and vice presidential candidate Hatta Rajasa had their medical checkups for almost ten hours on Friday at Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Subroto. The medical team annouced at 4.00 pm that the examinations had been completed.
Head of Indonesian Medical Doctors' Association (IDI), Zainal Abidin, said that Prabowo-Hatta had 14 tests or similar medical tests as the other pairs, Joko Widodo (or Jokowi) and Jusuf Kalla, on the other day. The hospital then handed the examination results to Indonesia's General Elections Commission (KPU) on Friday evening. The medical examinations were held for two days, on May 22-23.
"Praise the Lord, we have finished the medical examination on two pairs of presidential candidates (Jokowi-JK and Prabowo-Hatta). After plenary meeting, we decided to hand the results over to head of IDI, then he will pass them to KPU," Head of the hospital, Brigade General Douglas S Umboh, MD, said.
