REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Hatta Rajasa are committed to eradicate corruption and build clean government.
"We firmly put in our vision that corruption is the public enemy," Rajasa said recently.
The chairman of National Mandate Party (PAN) said that corruption was extraordinary crime and it needed special attention in law enforcement in future. The perpetrators deserve severe punishment, especially those involved in humanitarian context. He mentioned those committed in manipulating funds for natural disaster victims.
"They deserve severe punishment," Rajasa said.
While Prabowo added that Indonesia must strengthen law enforcement agencies to prevent and combat corruption, referring to Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), police officers, and prosecutors.
