REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) gives eight recommendations for the next Indonesian president, as mentioned in White Book of KPK.
"The book reflects KPK's knowledge and experience in the last 10 years to combat corruption. The book concludes challenges and priority agenda for the next president in 2014-2019," KPK's deputy chairman, Bambang Widjojanto said on Wednesday.
The copies of White Book of KPK were sent to two presidential candidates, Joko Widodo and Prabowo Subianto, also vice presidential candidates, Jusuf Kalla and Hatta Rajasa.
The first recommendation is about the importance of bureaucratic reform to organize the bureaucracy.
Second is on natural resources management and state revenues. The point underlines three sectors that should get substantial attention, namely mining, forestry, as well as marine and fisheries.
Third is on food security and sovereignty. Fourth is infrastructure improvement. Fifth is strengthening of law enforcement. Sixth is educational support and integrity. While seventh and eight are the institutional improvement of political parties and social welfare improvement respectively.
