REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MERAK -- The Integrated Terminal of Merak Ferry Port of Banten Province has been preparing a total of 510 buses to serve post-fasting month Idul Fitri travelers.
"We have prepared regular buses to serve Idul Fitri revelers who are returning (mudik) to their home towns in various regions in Java," Robi Hidayat, head of the Integrated Terminal, said here on Tuesday.
He said that the number of travelers using buses this year was expected to increase. After all, in the past several days, the number of passengers crossing the Sunda Strait, which linked the Merak Port in Java and the Bakauheni Port in Sumatra, had been increasing.
Therefore, his office is preparing 510 buses to cater to the needs of Idul Fitri travelers.
If drastic increase in passengers happens, a number of 150 reserved buses will possibly be mobilized, he said.
"We guarantee that all passengers will be transported and none of them will be neglected," he added.
