REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The tourist attraction, Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park, popularly known as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), in East Jakarta, has set a target to attract 400 thousands visitors during the 2014 Lebaran holidays.
"The number of visitors to Taman Mini during this year's Eid al Fitr holiday season is forecast to increase by 10 percent as compared to last year," the park's spokesman Suryandoro remarked on Tuesday.
He noted that a total of 350 thousand people visited Taman Mini during the Eid al Fitr holidays last year, and the number during the same period this year is expected to reach at least 400 thousand. Suryandoro is optimistic that the target of 400 thousand visitors can be achieved as the festivity coincides with the school holiday.
"The school holiday, which is in conjunction with the Eid al Fitr festivity, will contribute to an increase in the number of visitors to Taman Mini," he pointed out.
According to Suryandoro, during the Eid al Fitr holiday season this year, Taman Mini will be open from 7 am to 10 pm to attract as many visitors as possible. He noted that particularly from July 28 to August 10, 2014, the entry ticket fare to Taman Mini would be raised from 10 thousand IDR to 12 thousand IDR per person.
