REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUTA -- Ministry of Youth and Sports targetted that Indonesian national team would join the top 10 team from the three sport categories in Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, December 2014. Deputy IV for Sports Performance Improvement, Djoko Pekik Irianto told to reporters in Asean Forum and International Conference On Sport Science And Technology (AFICSST) in Kuta Bali on Saturday.
"To achieve the target, we must gain 10 medals from three favored sports," Irianto said.
The three favored sports are badminton, equestrian and soft tennis. For badminton, government asked the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) to use additional facilities to support physical exercise and sports science in the Ministry to prepare the athletes.
The exclusion of athletes at Asian Games 2014 will be determined by respective sports. After that, the Committe will announce a definitive team.
