REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Secretary General of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Tjahjo Kumolo said that the formation of new cabinet of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla still waited for the Constitutional Court's decision on disputed election result.

The Court held the last hearing on Friday by presenting expert witnesses from the applicant (Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa), General Election Commission (KPU) and related parties. The Court will hold a trial court judgment on August 21.

"It has not been discussed. We waited for the final decision from Constitutional Court," Kumolo said on Friday.

Related to the arrival of several political parties leaders to the Transition House, Kumolo argued that it had not discussed the ministerial seats. He also explained the possibility of political cadres who would be offered the ministerial position. According to him, the elected cadre should resign from his current position to become a minister.

"I think that Jokowi wants a better cabinet. The issues between government and a political party cannot be merged," he explained.

PDIP board members who will be offered ministerial positions should also obtain the approval of PDIP chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri.
