REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUBANG -- The average of oil production of Pertamina EP Subang increased significantly since Jati Asri 01 (JAS 01) well operating at Asset 3 Subang Field area. Subang Legal & Relation Assistant Manager Yosi Ardilla said that the 2,270 meter depth well is able to increase oil production within 1,300-2,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). The oil then was flowed to Balongan terminal.

Based on data, JAS 01 oil production declined from 1,576 BOPD to 1,223 BOPD during January-April 2014. The production began to increase from 1,333 BOPD in May to 1,601 BOPD in June, followed by 2,063 and 2,091 BOPD in July and August.

"Before JAS 01 operation, the oil well only produced 1,200-1,300 BPOD. The production surged in range of 2,000-2,100 after that," Ardilla said recently.

Pertamina EP Subang still did not know the number of JAS 01 oil reserves. Company is still conducting a study to calculate the existing oil reserves until October this year. Company continues to pursue a target to increase the oil production, because the production has reached 98.9 percent of total target.

Subang Field Asset 3 currently has about 100-110 wells and half of them are active wells.
