REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - People living in Sidoharjo village, Kulon Progo district, Yogyakarta, are developing a 37-hectare coffee plantation in Menoreh Hills, about 45 kilometers north of Yogyakarta city.

"In Sidoharjo village, there is a 37-hectare coffee plantation. It is developing rapidly along with the tourism program in this area," head of the Margo Mulyo Madigondo farmer group Suradio said on Monday.

In addition to the coffee plantation, there are also farming lands and forests spread over 143 hectares.

He said there is potential for development of coffee agro-tourism. However, most of the coffee plants are still grown mixed with other plants.
