REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met with delegations of Red and White Coalition at his private residence, Puri Cikeas Indah, Bogor on Tuesday. In a press statement, President said that the communication between he and the coalition was very constructive.
"All of us commit to be part of national development and participate in democratic life in our beloved country," Yudhoyono saod on Tuesday.
According to Yudhoyono, the Red and White Coalition has approved the presidential election result. Pair of Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla were elected as the next president and vice president. Red and White Coalition will guard the government program as opposition. He hopes that government policy will run in its corridor.
"It is legitimate according to values of democracy and constitution," Yudhoyono added.
Yudhoyono said that it was not the last meeting among them. It was because several party chairmen, such as Aburizal Bakrie of Golkar party and Prabowo Subianto of Gerindra party could not come.
"They want to communicate after returning from abroad. I make the time," he explained.
Several senior coalition came to meet Yudhoyono, such as Hatta Rajasa (Chairman of National Mandate Party), Syarif Hasan (Chief Executive of Democratic Party), Fadli Zon (Vice Chairman of Grindra Party), Idrus Marham (Secretary General of Golkar Party), Emron Pangkapi (Secretary General of United Development Party) and BM Wibowo (Secretary General of Crescent Star Party).
