REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The elected president, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo will carry out a final selection process over new ministers in his cabinet this October. This time Jokowi has begun an inventory of proposed names from the head hunter team formed by him.
"The names will present this October. They could come from professionals or party cadres," Jokowi said on Wednesday.
According to Jokowi, the coalition party is still selecting professional candidates. Parties that supported the Jokowi – JK pair were PDIP, Nasdem, PKB, Hanura and PKPI. The professionals come from academics, practitioners and bureaucrats. One of coalition parties also has gave a bundle names of candidates. Jokowi previously allowed coalition parties to propose names. The new president and vice president will be inagurated on October 20.
Jokowi announced on Monday that the structure of his Cabinet would consist of 34 ministries. He did not announce the names of his ministers, but 18 ministers would have professional backgrounds, while 16 minister from coalition parties.
