REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle/PDIP's central executive board has prepared 50 minister candidates for Jokowi's cabinet. Head of the party's general election division, Puan Maharani said that PDIP still reviewed the track records and capabilities of each candidate.
"We still reviews the track record of the 50 candidates," Maharani said on Monday.
Maharani could not disclose the number of ministers who would seat in the new cabinet as it became Jokowi's prerogative rights. PDIP's chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri also concerned in selecting candidates for ministers. Maharani ensured that the candidate was clean of corruption, had the capability and competences to help president.
"We still discuss the name of candidates proposed by PDIP's chairman," Maharani said.
The elected president, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo will carry out a final selection process over new ministers in his cabinet this October. Jokowi previously announced that the structure of his Cabinet would consist of 34 ministries. He did not announce the names of his ministers, but 18 ministers would have professional backgrounds, while 16 minister from coalition parties.
