REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - Thirteen Indonesian students from University of Langlangbuana, Bandung, West Java are studying cyber police techniques at University of Younshan, Busan, South Korea, according to Dean of Social and Politics, Dr. Panji Santosa, on Friday.
Those student sent to South Korea are majoring in Police Science at University of Langkangbuana. According to Panji, the Cyber Police program has not been available at Indonesian universities. Therefore, the students who have been sent to Korea are expected to learn much to assist in Indonesia.
Besides Cyber Police studies, Younshan University has also offered Indonesian students the opportunity to study Police Administration. However, in order to strengthen human resources in the field of cybercrime investigations and preventions, Langlangbuana University decided to participate in Cyber Police studies.
"The students will study in this program for two years," Panji added.
Meanwhile, representative of the Langlangbuana Foundation, Tatang Sugandi, said he hoped that, in addition to studying Cyber Police methods in Korea, the thirteen students could also promote Indonesian martial arts, called Tarung Derajat, during their studies.
