REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - UK rock band Arkarna performed an Indonesian song in Jokowi's celebration concert held at the National Monument (Monas) on Monday evening. The band sang Kebyar-Kebyar, a 1979 patriotic song by the singer Gombloh.
Arkarna vocalist, Ollie Jacobs sang the verses of this song with a pretty good Indonesian language. All people suddenly joined him in singing this song.
"Indonesia, my blood red, my white bones, united in passion," Jacobs chanted last night.
Jacobs and friends came to Indonesia to congratulate Jokowi. Matt Hart (guitarist) and Tim Owen (drummer) said that they were honored to come back and perform in Jakarta.
Their performance were appreciated by the thousands people who came to Monas. Three Finger Salute Concert aimed to celebrate the inauguration of Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla as Indonesia’s 7th president and vice president.
