REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo still carries out meeting with prospective ministers in Presidential Palace. The selection process, which still goes on indicates that the composition of Trisakti Cabinet yet to be announced in near future.
"However, the selection process has been 99 percent completed," former Deputy of Jokowi's Transition Team, Andi Widjajanto said recently.
According to Widjajanto, about 34 ministerial posts have been determined by Jokowi. The Cabinet allocation is still in line with initial projection, namely 18 professional ministers and 16 ministers from political parties.
Vice President Jusuf Kalla said that both of them asked recommendation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transaction Analysis and Report Center (PPATK). They need to remove several ministerial candidates who are indicated in corruption cases.
"KPK has reported the names to us and we re-checked it. Now we have to re-balance it and look for new candidates," Kalla said.
Jokowi has received four politicians from the National Awakening Party (PKB), namely Marwan Dja'far, Hanif Dakhiri, Muhammad Nasir and Imam Nachrawi. Chairman of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar has resigned from ministerial nomination.
Two politicians from National Democratic Party (Nasdem), namely Ferry Mursyidan Baldan and Enggartiasto Lukita have also met Jokowi. Besides politicians, the founder and president director of Susi Air Flight Operator, Susi Pudjiastuti and former advisor of Transition Team, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan came to the State Palace.
