REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Red and White Coalition assessed that President Joko 'Jokowi' did not promote professionalism in appointing the economic ministers. A number of economic ministers experienced resistence from market investors.
"Market investors showed cold response to Jokowi's economic team. Many names are forced to be ministers," Red and White Coalition spokesman, Tantowi Yahya said on Tuesday.
Professional means putting the best figure in it place according to the experience and integrity. Unfortunately, Jokowi did not put ministers based on capability and capacity.
"Many professional ministers have no enough competence," Yahya said.
Red and White Coalition sniffed the political interests behind professional appointment in Jokowi's Working Cabinet. There are names that are too forced in ministerial posts, but he did not explain the detail.
"The professionals are not clean from the influence of political party," Yahya added.
These are eight Jokowi's economic ministers:
1. The Head of the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas), Andrinof Chaniago
2. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Sofyan Djalil
3. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sudirman Djalil
4. Minister of Finance, Bambang Brojonegoro
5. Minister of State Owned Enterprises, Rini M Soemarno
6. Minister of Cooperative and Small Medium Enterprises, Puspayoga
