REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Director of state owned train operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Edi Sukmoro said that company targetted revenue of 11 trillion IDR in 2015 compared to 8.7 trillion IDR in 2013.
"We expect a revenue of 10-11 trillion IDR in 2015 compared to 8.7 trillion IDR in 2013," Sukmoro said recently.
According the new CEO, KAI recorded revenue of 8.7 trillion IDR and profit of 560 billion IDR in 2013. He is optimistic that company's financial performance will improve because of many good opportunities.
He admitted that KAI CEO's position was not easy task, so he would continue programs of former CEO, Ignatius Jonan by improving public service. KAI's main focus is serving customers better, especially in safety issue. Next, financial performance issue by increasing revenue.
Sukmoro is now replacing Jonan, who is now serving as minister of transportation. Minister of State Owned Enterprises, Rini Soemarno and board of KAI directors witnessed the inaguration on Wednesday. Sukmoro previously worked at state owned electricity company, PT PLN as director general and management. He graduated from Bandung Technological Institute and continued his magister program at University of Melbourne in Australia.
