REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian and Chinese businessmen signed 12 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the Indonesia-China Business Forum held on the sidelines of the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Beijing recently.
Under the MoUs, the businessmen of the two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of logistics, transportation, mining, energy, sugarcane industry, and industrial estates, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) said in a press statement released on Tuesday.
The chamber warmly welcomed the signing of the 12 MoUs, stating that there was still a lot of scope to increase trade and investment cooperation between Indonesia and China, benefits of which both countries, particularly Indonesia, could reap.
"Right now, Indonesia will try to take optimum advantage of regional and bilateral cooperation for the benefit of people's prosperity," the Chairman of Kadin, Suryo Bambang Sulisto, noted.
The forum brought together 170 Indonesian and 150 Chinese businessmen.
