REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BRISBANE -- The Indonesian government would speak about economic reform and infrastructure at the G-20 summit meeting here on Saturday.

Economic reform concerns licensing procedure, land clearing and budget reform, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said before attending the opening ceremony of the conference.

"I think we have a lot to be improved that people could see our budget is well spent," Jokowi said.

He said he had already discussed the same agenda in bilateral meeting with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

"They want to hear from us about subsidies, infrastructure and licensing procedure . I think not only Australia but also other countries," he said.

In a meeting with Indonesian people in Australia, Jokowi explained his commitment to simplifying the licensing procedure.

"Licensing is an old unsettled problem . I have received report that a prospective investor waited in vain for four years to get the license to build a power plant.

"That is an unnecessary delay that would most likely end in failure," he said.

He said the government has pledged one stop service to draw investors.

During his first foreign trips as president to China, Myanmar and Australia, Jokowi has met and talked with a number of heads of state and government including Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping, Chinese President Li Keqiang, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and U.S. President Barack Obama.

His visit to Australia is to attend the G-20 summit meeting. Upon his arrival on Friday night from Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, Jokowi met with Tony Abbott in Brisbane.

Jokowi and his entourage is to return home to arrive in Jakarta on Sunday night.
