REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A senior official of state company Nindya Karya Heru Sulaksono is facing a 10 year jail term with a fine of Rp600 million for alleged corruption.
The prosecutors of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) o charged Heru with corruption and money laundering in the construction of a new quay of the Sabang port financed with state budget fund in 2004-2011.
The prosecutors also asked the corruption special court here on Monday to order Heru to pay a compensation of Rp23.127 billion minus his assets already confiscated by KPK or give him an additional 5 year's imprisonment.
A number of government officials and leaders of the company are also implicated in the corruption case including head of BPKS Teuku Syaiful Achmad, commitment making official Ramadhani Ismy, and head of the regional branch of Nindya Karya Sabir Said and a number of executives of Nindya's partners in joint venture Nindya Sejati JO awarded the contract to build the project.
One of the prosecutors Riyono said procurement of goods and services for the projects were not as given in the contract.
He said the tender process for the project was not properly implemented.
