REPUBLIKA.CO.ID TOKYO -- Prime Minister Shinzo Abe plans to retain all members of his Cabinet, a Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker said Monday, a day after the party's victory in the House of Representatives election.
Major LDP executives such as Secretary General Sadakazu Tanigaki will also remain in their posts, according to the lawmaker. The LDP and its junior coalition partner Komeito retained a two-thirds majority in the powerful lower house.
Abe is expected to agree with Komeito leader Natsuo Yamaguchi on main policy measures, including a soon-to-be-compiled economic stimulus package, when they meet later Monday.
