Angkasa Pura II prepares extra flights on year end

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Angkasa Pura II, state-owned airport services company, prepares 174 extra flights to anticipate Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The extra flights have been served since December 19, 2014, until January 5, 2015.

Manager of Public Relations of Angkasa Pura II, Yudis Tiawan, said the extra flights were 166 domestic flights and eight international flights, served by Sriwijaya Air, Citilink, Air Asia, China Air and Garuda Indonesia.

"We predict Surabaya, Denpasar, Kualanamu, Balikpapan, Yogyakarta, Padang, Jambi, Pontianak and Batam as the most visited cities during holiday season," he said on Monday, December 21.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is also operated by Angkasa Pura II, is ready to welcome tourists, started on December 22. "We prepare facilities and security for tourists," he said.
