REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Agrarian and Spatial Management Ministry/National Land Agency has issued a decision on the appointment of 377 land certificate notary officials (PPAT).

"We want PPATs to have clear fields of work after the issuance of the decision. We also want them to improve the land administration system," Agrarian Minister Ferry Mursyidan Baldan said while issuing technical directives on land affairs and during the handing over of the appointment letters to the PPATs here on Tuesday.

He added that his ministry was also preparing a mechanism to evaluate the PPATs. "They will be evaluated next year, following which the 10 best PPATs in Indonesia will be given tokens of appreciation," he affirmed.

The minister further stated that these measures were all part of efforts to improve their services for the people.

Moreover, the National Land Affairs Agency (BPN) is also planning to open a special counter for people willing to handle their land administration matters on holidays.
