REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo officially opened the Third Jakarta Food Security Summit (JFSS) held in the Jakarta Convention Center, Thursday, February 12.
President Jokowi is to hold a dialog with farmers attending the Summit being held until Friday. The JFSS 2015 is organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and highlighted with seminars and a food expo.
A panel discussion on the empowerment of cooperatives as a key of success in the agricultural, animal husbandry and fishery fields, will also be organized.
The discussion's speakers will include the ministers of home affairs, trade, industry, cooperatives and small-medium scale enterprises, as well as maritime affairs and fisheries.
On the last day, the Kadin chairman will convey the Summit's recommendations to Vice President M Jusuf Kalla.
