REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that planned of working visit of the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo to the United States are being arranged.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman, Arrmanatha Nasir (Tata), one of the arrangements is to match the two head of states schedule. Tata revealed that on the beginning of June, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi will visit United States.
“There is Minister’s visit plan to US for Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) meeting,” Tata said in Jakarta on Thursday, May 7.
The meeting which scheduled on the beginning of June 2015 is a regular event every two years. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and the US met in JMC limited forum.
Tata explained that in addition to discussing the future plans of the meeting, they will also discuss the strategic issues which will be discussed both the head of state. The issues are beyond strategic issues revolving in bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States.
