BNN nabs nine escaped prisoners

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Nine out of ten prisoners of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) were previously escape, were successfully caught back. The arrest was made by combined officers in several different places.

Head of Public Relations of BNN Police Commissioner Personal Slamet said nine fugitives were arrested in the area of Puncak, West Java and in Malaysia. The nine suspects are now jailed by officers. This arrest has also been time-consuming for approximately one month.

"They fled to a different place. Thank God we can catch them back," said Slamet in Building BNN, Saturday, May 9.

Nine suspects were Hasan Basri, Samsul Bahri, Apip Apriansah, Husen, Harry Radiawan, Franky, Erik, Hamdani and Abdullah.

From the results of the temporary examination, Slamet said that from where they dispersed, the ten suspects fled in the direction of Cilincing, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

"They split up in order not to hide their escaped routes from officers," said Slamet.

Now, the combined personnel still giving chase to the suspects named Usman alias Raoh. Raoh is a member of a network syndicate of East Aceh. He is also known as the former commander of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM).
