REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of central executive boards of Golkar from Ancol’s congress, Leo Nababan, expressed his optimism related to submit appeal of Agung Laksono’s camp after hearing the verdict of the State Administrative Court (PTUN) on Monday, May 18.
According to him, the effort has submitted because it related to Decree (SK) of Minister of Law and Human Rights who legalized Agung as the Chairman of Golkar Party. "It is our right to ask the legal efforts," said Leo to ROL, on Tuesday, May 19.
He added that they are not only seeking appeal to maintain the decree of Agung but also cassation if Aburizal Bakrie’s camp would win again.
Furthermore, he explained, the appeal is pursued to decree and to reject the return of management of Riau Congress in 2009. Beside, according to Leo, the judge's decision which exceeded its authority must also be questioned related to the decision.
Not only that, other legal remedies related to judicial review will also be raised about the General Election Commission (KPU) Political Party Law Number 8 of 2015. In addition, related to the regulation of KPU Article 36 paragraph 2 of the delay in the implementation of the decree.
"Although this morning the President had answered his refusal to revise legislation and the majority party also rejected, we return everything to KPU because we keep going anyway," said Leo.
Previously, President Joko Widodo gave a signal to refuse the plan about limited revision of Law Number 8 of 2015 concerning Local Election and Law Number 2 of 2011 on Political Parties. It is known from the results of the meeting between the President and the leadership of the House of Representatives (DPR) at the State Palace.
