REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of State-owned Enterprises (BUMN), Rini Soemarno, is considered being the burden of the Working Cabinet government from 2014 to 2019. Pusaka Trisakati requested that the President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) removed the post of the former chairman of the transition team of the strategic position it is today.
Research Director of Pusaka Trisakti, Juliaman Napitu Saragih said Rini was not able to translate Nawacita launched by Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla. It was seen from her policy that was not oriented towards the development of human resources, but the corporation alone.
"Besides, it becomes political communication burden of Jokowi with the supporter’s party," said Juliaman in Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 19.
According to him, the original consideration of her appointment was that Rini was expected to bridge the communication between Megawati and Jokowi. But now, it failed and became a burden.
He added that, when looking at the fuel price issue, her alignments were far from public’s interest. Vision and Mission of Rini to make state-owned enterprises based on ideology of Trisakti still considered unclear. The growing issue of reshuffle cabinet should be an evaluation of this current government.
"Rini’s alignments on the management of natural resources and energy justice and the improvement of people’s welfare were not oriented towards human development," he concluded.
Earlier, Constitutional Law Observer, Margarito, also asked Jokowi not hesitate to replace the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), Yasonna Laoly.
"It is time for Menkumham’s performance to be evaluated by the President. For the second time he made a mistake in issuing a decree of legalization of political parties. Properly, the president also should not hesitate to replace Menkumham," he said.
