REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Agus Rianto affirmed that police will uncover the circulation of rice containing synthetic plastic material to its conclusion.

But he said, in exposing the case, accurate data should be obtained. According to him, several crime scenes should be investigated so that the data obtained is accurate.

"Do not accuse the traders, but we have to remain vigilant," he said at Police Headquarters, on Monday (25/5).

Agus also urged the public should not be affected on the issue of plastic rice before an official statement from either the police or the relevant ministries announced. He expected this case could be completed and not dissolved.

The police, he added, have been cooperating with the Ministry of Trade in order to anticipate the advent of plastic rice in other areas. For example, yesterday, the rumors of plastic rice circulation happened to be untrue.

Until now, the police still tracing the origin of the rice, because, buyers did not just buys from one seller. An investigation of one of the complainant is still being conducted.
