REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BLITAR -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo commemorated Pancasila Day at the city square in Blitar, East Java province, on Monday.
The commemoration began at 9:40 a.m. with the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence and a recitation of the Pancasila.
Fifth Indonesian president Megawati Soekarnoputri also joined the ceremony along with other officers, such as former vice president Boediono, Governor of East Java Soekarwo, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan, and Chairman of the Regional Representatives Council Irman Gusman.
The representative of Soekarno's family is scheduled to deliver a speech on the occasion.
In addition, President Jokowi will also deliver a speech and pen down a message for the "This is Indonesia" movement.
