REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The pretrial of investigator of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Novel Baswedan, will continue today, on Thursday, June 4. Agenda of the session today was the witness of the applicant.
"Approximately there are 10 witnesses," said Novel's attorney, Julius Ibrani in the District Court (PN) South Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 3.
According to Julius, the witnesses will be presented consists of the fact and expert witnesses. However, he could not confirm all witnesses could be presented.
Previously, in the evidentiary hearing, Novel's attorney was filed 70 documentary evidences. Among the evidence which filed, there were seven charters awards which obtained by Novel during working time in the police institution.
According to Julius, the charters denied Polri's accusations which said Novel was a police officer who often made mistakes and brutal. The award was given by the Chief of Police, President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur), and Megawati Soekarnoputri.
