REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) La Nyalla Mattalitti has asked the country's "Timnas U-23" or its national soccer team under 23 years old to focus its attention on next matches of SEA Games 2015.
The Timnas U-23 crushed the Cambodian squad 6-1 (2-0) in the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA)Games 2015 in Singapore on Saturday.
"Go on working hard. Mind you that your struggle still takes long time. The rest two games should become a final party for the sake of achievement. Continue to pray, remember unity, focus and hard work," Mattalitti stated here on Saturday following the success of the Timnas U-23.
In facing the Cambodian team on the Saturday match, the goals for the Indonesian team were scored by Syaifullah Muchlis Hadi Ning at 12th, 67th and 74th minutes, and the other three goals were netted by Ahmad Nurfiandi at 36th minute, Henry Febriyanto at 85th minute and Evan Dimas in the 90th minute.
Meanwhile the single goal for Cambodia was scored by Mony Udom Prak at 55th minute in the SEA Games which was officially opened on Friday (June 5).
However, on the contrary on June 2, the Indonesian "Timnas U-23" lost 2-4 (1-2) to Myanmar squad in the group A of the 28th SEA Games.
The goals for the Myanmar team were scored by ST Ya at the 21st minute, two goals netted by Aung Si Thu at 37th and 54th minutes, and the fourth goal by Kyan Ziw Liw at 65th minute.
Meanwhile two goals for the Timnas U-23 were scored by Abduh Lestaluhu at 45th minute and Ahmad Nufiandani at 70th minute.
In the next match the Timnas U-23 will face the Philippines on Tuesday (June 9) and in the final match of Group A the Indonesian squad will play against host Singapore on Thursday (June 11).
