REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUSA DUA -- Vice President Jusuf Kalla will attend the wedding reception of President Joko Widodo's son Gibran Rakabuming on Thursday night, in Solo, Central Java.
Kalla is scheduled to arrive in Solo on Thursday afternoon after attending the International Student Energy Summit 2015 in Nusa Dua, Bali.
On arrival in Solo, the vice president will be greeted by the representative of President Jokowi's family who will usher him to the wedding reception.
Regarding the wedding of Gibran with Ananda Selvi on Thursday, President Jokowi has sought the Indonesian people's blessings, so that the event can proceed smoothly without any obstacles.
"I sincerely seek the blessings of all the people of Indonesia for Gibran and Selvi, so that the couple can live happily until the end of their life," the president affirmed.
The president also planned to later hold another tradition Javanese wedding ceremony known as "ngunduh-mantu" for his son in Jakarta.
According to the plan, the second wedding ceremony in Jakarta would be held after the upcoming Islamic holiday, Eid, in July 2015, but no date has been finalized.
